What are you thinking now?

This question I ask to myself many times during the day. It seems my head doesn't stop and always has an answer. Not that the replies I get (or I give...) make any sense...or are related to the place/time/activity i'm immersed in. But it's fun, it's fun to have ideas, and it can be even better to make them happen.

The World Cup

Every four years, it's time for my favorite TV prgram: the world cup and it's advertisements. Uruguay didn't qualify and it was really dissapointing, check out the picture (...by now i'm totally over this fact even though i'll never forget that tuesday when Gabi, Antonio and I listened to the game that started at 2 AM in the morning Chicago time, and finished around 5:30 after the fatal penalty shots). But since 'futbol' is something you like watching no matter who is playing, as long as the game is good, elegant, intense and fair, at this point alining with a team is just a secondary thing.
FORZA AZZURRI!!! My italian friends influence....and/or the best looking men in the 'futbol' industry...
It gave me goose bumps to listen to the national anthems of Brazil and France today before the game started. It was a strange feeling, that made me wonder how deep it can be to represent your country in a situation like this, and how it can remain in your memory for the rest of your life if you ever raise the trophy. And letting my mind fly a little (or a lot), it took me to the times when wars were stopped to participate in sport events. Without getting into too much phylosophy and crazy ideas, I love to 'feel futbol', to laugh, to cry, to get nervous, to celebrate a goal, to suffer, to get upset, impatient. And here I am on a hot Saturday afternoon, watching a tied game at home and planning how to organize my work so i can watch the semifinals games next week in ponja's recently opened 'Il teatro' without my boss totally loosing control. OK, need to get back to the game, half-time is over, and i haven't decided who I want to win this one....
